Rita Lucille Daspit Duplantis, 93, died Saturday, November 9, 2013. 
She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at 
Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, November 15, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am 
at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic 
Church. 

Burial will be in Bayou Black Cemetery.

She is survived by her Son: Gable John Duplantis Jr and wife Vylia, Daughters: 
Ruby Roberts and husband Leon, Betty Hebert and husband Clarence, Brenda Savell 
and husband Jerry, Gale Louviere and husband Jerome, and Debra Breaux and 
husband Glenn, Grandchildren: Leon Roberts Jr. and Jennifer Rigby, Kent, Kyle, 
and Korey Hebert, Kristi Cagle, Tina Broekman, Shannon Porche, Monique Hughes, 
and Jerome Louviere Jr, Christopher, Casey, Chancey, and Chad Duplantis, Amy 
Theriot, and Dusty Breaux. She is also survived by 31 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Spouse: Gable Duplantis Sr., Parents: Joseph 
Daspit and Alida Leonard Daspit, Brothers: Joseph Daspit, and John Daspit, 
Sisters: Mildred Metternich, Sara Lapeyrouse, and Etta Tastet,

She retired from Terrebonne General Medical Center's Dietary Department.

She was a parishioner of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
