GORY, BONNIE FOURNET 
(June 6, 1928 - November 9, 2013)

Bonnie Delores Fournet Gory, 85, a resident of Thibodaux, LA and native of Port 
Barre, LA, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Lafourche Home for the Aged. She 
was born June 6, 1928 and married James Milton Gory on June 5, 1948 in Eunice, 
LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 10:00 am to 12:00 
pm at Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux, LA. Religious services will begin at 
12:00 pm at the funeral home 

with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery. 

A reception will be announced.

She is survived by son, Jim Gory and wife Tina; daughters, Nancie Johnston and 
husband David, Virginia Gory; grandchildren, Olivia Gory, Jason Gory; brother, 
Jack Fournet; sister, Joyce Buck.

She is preceded in death by husband, James Milton Gory; parents, Willis J. 
Fournet and Marie Cecilia Beslin; brothers, Bill, Pete, and Willis “BoBoy” 
Fournet; sisters, Virginia Fournet, Frances Sabatier, Rhona Martin.

She was a graduate of Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Education 
degree. She taught many years in the Lafourche Parish School System, primarily 
at Chackbay Elementary and Nicholls State University until her retirement. 
Bonnie loved to fish and was an avid LSU fan.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides of Lafourche Home for the 
Aged.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Hospital.

Landry’s Funeral Home of Thibodaux, LA is in charge of arrangements.
