Beatrice "Barbara Ann" Lewis James, 69, a native of Terrebonne Parish and 
resident of Houma, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 
p.m. Friday at Pleasantview Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

She is survived by her sons, Gerard Lewis, of Houma, and Wayne Lewis, of 
Tacoma, Wash.; sisters, Connie (Julius) Coco, of New Orleans, Patricia Brown, 
of Houma, Paulette (Leonard) Celestine, of Gray, Claudette Brown, of New 
Orleans, Annette Nixon, of Houma, and Audrey (Lester) Williams, of Houma; 
daughters, Terri Lewis, of Houma, and Gina Lewis, of Metairie; seven 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Lewis; second husband, 
Jonas James; parents, Willie Sr. and Bessie Jackson Brown; daughter, Tammy 
Jackson; brothers, Donald and Willie Brown Jr.; sisters, Charlette and 
Sharletta Brown; and grandparents, Stone Wall and Evelyn Jackson. 

Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
