Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1311.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Earl James Laughlin, 61, a native of Lake Charles and resident of Houma, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, in a Terrebonne hospital. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Alan Weishampel will officiate. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Faulk Laughlin, of Lake Charles; sons, Brady and Brian Laughlin and wife, Jennifer, of Houma; daughter, Melissa Poche and husband, Greg, of Houma; brothers, Raymond Laughlin and wife, Peggy, of Lake Charles and Toby Laughlin and wife, Julie, of Westlake; sister, Tanya Miller and husband, Rod, of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Katelyn Laughlin, Colby Laughlin, Brandon Holmes, Ariana Laughlin, Kaitlyn Clark, Bethany Williams, Gunnar Williams, Mason Laughlin, Aubrey Laughlin and Emma Laughlin; and step-grandchildren, Ciera and Damian Poche. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd E. "Dub" Laughlin; and his grandparents. He was a 1972 graduate of South Terrebonne Parish High School. He worked in the oil field and was a truck driver prior to retirement. Earl enjoyed fishing and wood working in his spare time. He was a member of Bayou Blue Assembly of God Church. He was also a pilot. Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles is in charge of arrangements. Read ======================
