Leblanc, 88, a native and resident of Larose passed away November 8, 2013. Visitation will take place on Wednesday November 13, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm with Funeral Mass beginning at noon with burial following in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in Larose. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mabel Punch Leblanc, daughters Elaine Sevin and husband Douglas, Sandra Griffin and husband Danny Sr., and Pauline Collins and husband Wade, grandchildren Kevin Sevin and wife Heather, Kara Dufrene and husband Tommy, Celima Louviere and husband Matt, Danny Griffin Jr and wife Scarlett, Logan Collins and Connor Collins, great grandchildren Tyler Dufrene, Brady Dufrene, Kaleb Louviere, Kaitlyn Louviere, Adam Sevin, Will Sevin, Aleeza Griffin and Leland Griffin, and niece Sharlene Griffin He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie Adams Leblanc and Celima Orgeron Leblanc, brothers Paul Leblanc and John Leblanc, and nephew Curtis Leblanc. Mr. Elvin was a dedicated husband, wonderful father, awesome Paw-Paw and never met a stranger. He was a retired sugarcane farmer and cattleman who enjoyed camping with family, traveling around the states with his wife, planting gardens and volunteering at the V.A. Hospital, local fairs, and for the VFW Bingo. He was a U.S. Army World War II combat veteran serving with the 70th Infantry Division Company C 275th Infantry Regiment and lifetime member of the Purple Heart, V.F.W. Post 8538, the Larose Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the Crusin Cajun Camping Club, the Holy Name Society, LA Cattleman's Association and the Krewe of Versailles.
