Gilda Lassere Morvant, age 66 passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at her 
home in Vacherie. 

A Tour Guide with Oak Alley Plantation for 15 years and a native of Vacherie.

The mother of Kerry Morvant (Mary) and Tanya Morvant and her loving dog, 
"Sweetie." Sister of Eugene Lassere, Lorraine L. Kraemer (Roy), Loretta L. 
Chenier, Ella L. Chenier and Therese L. Mars (Elves). Grandmother of Cam 
Falgoust, Dex Falgoust, Quinn Morvant and Morgan Morvant.

She was preceded in death by husband, Cameron (Buddy) Morvant, Jr., her 
parents; Marie Oubre and O'Neil G. Lassere. Brothers, Joseph O'Neil and Adam 
Lassere, Brothers-in-law; James and Fred Chenier.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 8:00 am until 
funeral service at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am 

with burial to follow in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church mausoleum in 
Vacherie.

A special appreciation to Dr. Laura Campbell and St. Joseph Hospice for their 
expressions of love.
