Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Frieda Wilson and Edward Stuckey; sister, Betty Boudreaux; and two loved and cherished grandsons, Justin Owen and Joshua Blair. Donna grew up in Houma, attended Terrebonne High School, married Jerry Nixon (1960-1978) and traveled the globe as a young U.S. Air Force wife, living in England, Scotland, Germany and Alaska. She believed in living a full rich life working and playing with equal gusto, nothing could stop her and she was often referred to as a force of nature. In her lifetime she was a carhop, swim instructor, hotel maid, cake decorator, deli manager and Kroger store manager. Donna was best known by her capacity to love and care for others. She loved people, especially children. She collected people like other people collect strays, always finding room in her heart to love and care for one more. Donna was Nana to all of her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. She had a beautiful rapport with all children and became Nana to all who knew and met her. She told her daughters she had no regret, that her biggest accomplishment was raising four strong daughters and her biggest pride was her grandchildren. Nana, we love you more.
