Kevin Glenn Robling, 47, a native of Houma and resident of Lafayette, died at 1:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home at 5899 Highway 311 in Houma and from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church at 720 Talbot Ave. in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with procession and burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery at 949 Menard St. in Thibodaux. He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth P. Robling and companion, Laura Rogers, and David W. Robling and wife, Melanie Dion; stepbrother, Cody Robling; stepmother, Charlotte Robling; former wife and best friend, Amanda Hebert Robling; mother-in-law, Carita L. Hebert; sisters-in-law, Paula M Hebert and Shawnee Hebert; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hebert; nieces and nephews, Kendra Guillot, Amanda Huskey, Brandon Dion, Corey Dion, Sacha Robling, Kourtney Hebert, Tyler Hebert, Selby Robling, Kolby Robling and Possum; godchildren, Brandon Dion and Kourtney Hebert; and great-nieces and nephews, Blaise Dupre, Sophia Dion, Jett and Ace Venable, Riley Huskey, Kennedy Guillot, Aiddah Tipplet, and Raylie Hebert. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gary W Robling and Rita M. Billiot; grandparents, Nolan and Marie Billiot; father-in-law, Jim "Pop" Hebert Sr.; and the Wolfpack. Major Robling's decorations, medals, badges, citations and campaign ribbons include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Recommendation Medal, AF Commendation Medal with 1-oak leaf cluster, Combat Readiness Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Global War on Terrorism Service medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, AF Longevity Service with 2 oak leaf clusters, Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon (Pistol), Navy Pistol Shot Medal, AF Training Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, AF Achievement Medal 1 oak leaf cluster, Army Achievement Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award. Major Robling served his country in state as well as in Iraq and Kuwait. Major Robling was a volunteer for Big Brothers and Sisters, the American Red Cross, and the Indian School House in Los Angeles, California. He was a member of the Alumni of ULL, Alumni of Woodbury University in Burbank, Calif., the Military Officer of Association of America and the United Houma Nation. His hobbies included, reading, running, weight training, fishing and helping others succeed in meeting their educational goals. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. ======================
