Essie Delaune Babin, 88, a native of St. James Parish and resident of Houma, 
died at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral 
Home in Houma. Please call the funeral home at 985-876-5442 for funeral time.

She is survived by her sons, Harry and wife, April, and Randy and wife, Tammy 
Babin; daughters, Theresa McDonald and husband, George, and Elvina Sinitiere 
and husband, Bobby; sister, Jeanette Naquin; three grandchildren; two step-
grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Paul Babin; brothers, Patrick, 
Leonard, Nolan and Daniel Delaune; sister, Hazel Zito; and parents, Louis and 
Anita Triche Delaune.

Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
