Betty Ann Borne Bruce, 69, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
died at 8:27 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of 
Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. 

She is survived by her son, John Bruce an wife, Margie; daughter, Angela 
Johnson and husband, Chris; brother, Leopaul Borne; sisters, Pearline Vizier 
and husband, Jamie, and Julie Galliano; grandchildren, Steve (Barbara) Bruce, 
Jarrod Bruce, Eric Bruce and companion, Angelle Brady, John Bruce Jr., Jolee 
Bruce, Hayley (Jasper) Verdin, Lauren Daigrepont and companion, Jeremy 
Barfield, Matthew Daigrepont and Carrera Johnson; and great-grandchildren, 
Jamine and Christian Bruce, Michael York, Brianna Chaisson, Mya Brady, Brya 
Verdin and Kayleigh Barfield. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester "Joe" Bruce Jr.; parents, 
Faustin E. Borne and Mercedes Callais Borne; brothers, Anthinas, Faustin Jr. 
and Paul Borne; and sisters, Evelia Langley, Gerline Guidry and Gertie Bruce. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
