Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Mary Ann Crosby; brother, David Hebert; stepdaughter, Tracey and husband, Billy Shadell; stepsons, Jody and Michelle Crosby, and Timothy and Pam Crosby; step-grandchildren, Richie, Roddy, and Randy Crosby, Melvin Crosby and wife, Gabrielle, Cassie Molaison, Olivia Shadell, Timothy Crosby Jr., Jolie Crosby and Angelique Crosby; step-great- granddaughter, Anna Crosby; godchildren, Debbie Benoit and Vicki Picou; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, a Miniature Pincher named, Roxie. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Myrtis Legendre Hebert; parents, O'Neil Hebert Sr. and Corrine Gros Hebert; brothers, Ronald "Ronnie" Hebert and Kenneth Hebert; sister, Ida Mae Toups; step-granddaughter, Arielle Crosby; and beloved pet, Peanut. He was a devoted Catholic and loving companion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a security officer for the Lafourche Parish Food Stamp office under Sheriff Craig Webre. He also worked for the Thibodaux Police Department where he worked with the trustees. He was president for five years of "A Smile is Worth Club" where they gave parties to numerous nursing homes, Granier and Assumption ARC. He was the co-recipient of the Francis Duriel Award for being an outstanding citizen of the year in the mid 1980's. He was a past president of the Louisiana State Firemen's Association and a member of Hook and Ladder since he was 18 years old. He was a parishioner and usher at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
