Knight Sr, 84, a native of Raceland, LA and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church from 8:30 AM till funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. He is survived by his children, Richard “Dicky” Knight Jr. and wife Sandra; Robbie Knight and wife Julie, Greg Knight and wife Lisa; Tim Knight; Beth Boudreaux and husband Jeff; Mary Magdalene and husband John; brothers, Larry, Freddie Jr., and Michael Knight; sister, Karen Ann K. Guillot; grandchildren, Kristie K. Bonneval, Layle K. Babin, Richard Knight III, Lani K. Aucoin, Andrea K. Daniels, Garret Knight, Codi B. Waguespack, Brady Boudreaux, Jacob Knight, Caitlin L. Mohs, Christine A. Martin; great-grandchildren, Brock, Bronson, and Richard Bonneval, Hailey and Jace Daniels, Hayes Babin, Cohen, Sydni Rae, Charli Claire Aucoin; beloved pet, CoCo He is preceded in death by his wife Anna Mae Hue Knight; parents, Freddie and Irene Rodriguez Knight Guidry; brother, Jerry Knight He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather who never missed a family function. He enjoyed watching sports. He was instrumental in the establishment of St. Genevieve Catholic Church and West Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Navy Veteran who served in the Occupation of China with the U.N. Forces as a shore patrolman in the aftermath of World War II.
