Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1312.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Charles Richard "Dick" Lovegrove, 81, a native of Staunton, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, in Roanoke, Va. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Oakey's South Chapel in Roanoke, Va. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Roanoke, Va. A reception will be held at the church following the service and then burial in Evergreen Burial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane Lovegrove; sons, Richard and wife, Lisa, of Roanoke, Va., and David Lovegrove, of Fredericksburg, Va.; daughter, Meredith Roller and husband, Tom, of Roanoke, Va.; sister, Bobby Schulz and husband, Dick; and grandchildren, Spencer Lovegrove, Madeline and Harper Lovegrove and Elly and Sam Roller. He was preceded in death by his first grandchild, Grace Lovegrove. He grew up in Waynesboro, Va., and graduated from Washington and Lee University. He then embarked on a 43 year career in public relations for American Electric Power, first at Appalachian Power in Roanoke, Va., and then as director of public relations for Kentucky Power in Ashland, Ky. After retiring, Dick and wife, Jane, thoroughly enjoyed living in the Cajun country of southern Louisiana. Throughout the years, he was a leader in a wide range of civic, church and cultural endeavors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. John's Episcopal Outreach Fund or to the Community Youth Program, P.O. Box 257, Roanoke, VA 24002. Oakey's South Chapel in Roanoke, Va., is in charge of arrangements. ======================
