Lois Cazenave Mahler, 88, a native of Wallace and resident of Kraemer and 
Chackbay, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. 
She was born July 31, 1925

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 
a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in the church cemetery. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Veronica M. Morvant and husband, Nelson, 
and Jewel M. Durocher and husband, Freddie; sister, Fernande C. Dufresne; 
grandchildren, Gwen M. Levron, Becky M. Bourgeois, Rhonda M. Pontiff, Clayton 
Durocher, Lance Mahler, Druce Mahler, Troy Mahler and Justin H. Baker; and 16 
great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis "Jack" Mahler; parents, Fernand 
Cazenave and Laura Webre Cazenave; son, Louis "Butch" Mahler Jr.; daughter, 
Pamela Mahler Barker; brothers, Robert, Adlai and Roy Cazenave; sisters, Carmen 
C. Prestenback and Lucie C. Roussel; and grandson, Chad Anthony Durocher. 

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Thibodaux Regional 
Medical Center and the staff at Thibodaux Healthcare Nursing Home. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
