Russell was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and shrimping. He loved the outdoors and being in his boat on the water. After his children married and had children of their own, those grandchildren became the loves of his life. He could not wait for the next party or seafood boil. He enjoyed the holidays with his family and friends. When the great-grandchildren came he couldn't wait for their visits, so he could hold and rock them. He truly enjoyed being with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a very happy and humorous loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother and uncle who had numerous loving friends. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play baseball. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to deeply thank Dr. Ray Cinnater, Dr. Jules Dupont, Dr. Ralph Bourgeois, Dr. David Pellegrin and the staff at TGMC rehab in 2006 when he had his stroke. The family would also like to thank Bayou Home Health Care, his nurses, Neysa, Amanda, Moriah and Melinda, and Journey Hospice and his nurse Amy Bourg. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
