Joseph Martin Sr., 65, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, 
died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Mt. Olive 
Baptist Church in Chauvin. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Louise Fleming Martin; sons, Michael (Cindee) 
Martin Tellis, Elfrom (Monique) Fleming, Torin Fleming, Joseph (Yolanda) Martin 
III and Eronne (Quizine) Martin Sr.; daughters, Jerne (Michael) Nixon and Tia 
(Damion) Robinson; brothers, Warren and Michael Martin; sisters, Ethel Green, 
Ollie (Noble) Patterson, Panzy White and Rosie Scott; 20 grandchildren; and one 
great-grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Ethel Coleman Martin; 
son, Joseph Martin Jr.; brother, Arthur Martin Jr.; and grandparents, Clarence 
and Ollie Jones. 

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
