Murray "Coon" Melancon, 88, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Saturday, 
Dec. 21, 2013.
He was born Sept. 28, 1925. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Christ the 
Redeemer Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday 
at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. 

He is survived by his brothers, Richard and Robert "Bob" Melancon; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nara Melancon and Olive Clement 
Melancon; and brothers, Raymond and Nathan Melancon. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
