Roy Joseph Melancon, 70, a native of Lockport and resident of Larose passed 
away Saturday December 21, 2013 at his residence. 

Visitation will take place on Thursday December 26, 2013 at Our Lady of the 
Rosary Catholic Church in Larose from 10:00 am till funeral time. Funeral Mass 
will begin at 12 noon 

with burial following in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in 
Larose.

Mr. Melancon is survived by his wife of 48 years Rainell Griffin Melancon, his 
sons Lonnie and Kyle Melancon, his daughter Dawn Melancon, grandchildren 
Aramie, Taylor, Austin, Mason, Chaz, Kaden, Colt, Maggie, Camryn and Holden, 
brother Wylie Melancon and sisters Anna Danos and Connie Melancon.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Judith Guidry Melancon.
Roy was the owner of Roy's Body Shop in Larose. He was in the auto repair 
business for 52 years.

He was loved and will be missed, especially by his grandchildren who called him 
Pappy.
