Ruby B. "Grammy" North, 76, a native and resident of Belle Rose, died Monday, 
Dec. 16, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Williams and Southall Funeral 
Home in Napoleonville and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Greater 
Israel Baptist Church in Belle Rose. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Greater Israel Baptist Church cemetery in Belle Rose. 

She is survived by her husband, Wilbert North Sr., of Belle Rose; son, Danny 
Ray (Hattie Mae) North, of Thibodaux; daughter, Barbara (Eddie Sr.) Williams, 
of Belle Rose; brothers, Herbert Brown, of New Orleans, Allen Brown, of 
Donaldsonville, and Ernest (Trulane) Brown, of Belle Rose; sisters, Birgie 
Landry, Ruth Carter and Betty (Robert) Solite, all of Belle Rose; nine 
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Herbert Brown Sr.; 
sons, Marlon "Tummy" North and Wilbert "Pooney" North Jr.; grandson, Ronell 
Bell; great-grandson, Trenton Williams; sister, Rachel B. Landry; and brother, 
Sterling Brown. 

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of 
arrangements.
