Helen James Ordoyne, 87, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013, native and 
resident of Chackbay, LA. Visitation will be from 8AM until funeral time 
Friday, December 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chackbay. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor cemetery in Chackbay.

She is survived by her children, Norris Ordoyne and wife Nancy, Kirby Ordoyne 
and wife Trudy & Glenda Ordoyne all of Chackbay; sisters, Mary Templet and 
Doris Ducote both of Gonzales; brother, Wayne Morin of Gonzales; grandchildren, 
Lisa Ordoyne and Clint Braud of Chackbay, Angela Ordoyne and Bob Bourgeois of 
Vacherie, Rene Ordoyne and Nicole of Chackbay, Jason Ordoyne and wife Lacy of 
Kraemer, Crystal and husband Mike of Chackbay, Jeff Comardelle and wife Ximeg 
of Chackbay; great-grandchildren, Chase Ordoyne and Chelsie Braud of Chackbay, 
Kody and Kolin Bourgeois of Vacherie, Bailey and Ladon Ordoyne of Kraemer, Bret 
Benoit of Chackbay, Jesse Comardelle of Chackbay and Brandon Passig of 
Gonzales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand "Cod" Ordoyne; parents, 
George and Corine Landry James; brothers, Leonard and Hyrom James & Jimmy, Joe 
and Vincent Morin; sister, Alice James.

She retired in 1986 from Lafourche Parish School Board after 25 years of 
service and was a member of The Ladies Auxiliary VFW post 5097 in Thibodaux.
