Vickie C. Pitre, 51, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away Sunday, Dec. 
29, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon 

with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband, Joseph O. Pitre; stepfather, Claude Morgan; 
son, Lance Cheramie and companion, Heather Barthelemy; son-in-law, Adrian 
Hancock Sr.; daughter-in-law, Marie Cheramie; sisters, Tammy Johnfroe and 
husband, Richard, and Jessica Gayle and husband, David; grandchildren, Ian 
Cheramie, Draven Hancock, Adrian Hancock Jr., Austin Hancock, Addy Hancock, 
Drew Hancock, Zack Cheramie, Kody Cheramie, MacKenzee Cheramie, Kanaan Kiger, 
Delilah Barthelemy. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Cheramie; mother, Diana R. 
Morgan; grandparents, Hazel and Edison Rousse; and daughter, Shantelle Hancock. 

Vickie was a loving wife and grandmother. She loved cooking, and spending time 
with her family and friends. She also enjoyed camping with her family. 

The family would like to thank Donna and A.J. Trahan for the care they gave 
her, Lady of the Sea Home Health Care, Dr. Vega, Lafourche Ambulance and 
Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office for their help in our time of need. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
