Michael Wayne Ray, 55, died at 1:30 a.m. at Ochsner Medical Center in New 
Orleans on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, after a heroic fight against cancer. 
He was born June 26, 1958, in Natchitoches and was a lifelong resident of 
Thibodaux. 

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Friday at First Assembly of God Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be 

at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Hagewood. 

He is survived by his wife, Maryln Hebert Ray; son, David Michael Ray and wife, 
Ariel; grandchildren, Damian and Laila Ray; parents, Pat Watley Ray and Dale 
Ray; brothers, John, James "Butch", Paul and Brian Ray; and numerous nieces and 
nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Bruce Ray. 

He was a devoted husband and father and a beloved son, brother, uncle and 
grandfather. 
He was a man of prayer and of great faith. He will be sorely missed. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
