Louis E. Seekatz, 72, a native of New Braunfels, Texas, and resident of Houma, 
died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Seekatz; daughter, Lisa Hunter and husband, 
Kelly, of Houma; sons, Ronald Smith and wife, Lea, of Port Smith, Va., and 
Thomas Smith, of Houma; brothers, Hank and William Seekatz, of New Braunfels, 
Texas; sister, Vera Porche, of Houma; six grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Verena Seekatz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with 
funeral expenses.
