Elizabeth Ann Barrick Strada, 92, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She was a 
native of Frederick, MD and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 
service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 
will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 12:00 PM at St. Gregory Catholic 
Church. 

Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

She is survived by her daughter, Louise Strada, son, Robert Strada, sister, 
Rebecca Barrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Strada, 
parents, Col. Robert F. Barrick and Anne Kennedy Barrick, brother, Robert 
Francis Barrick.

She worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. in the 
early 1940s. After marriage, the family moved to Houma then Mobile, AL where 
she worked at Brookley Air Force Base for five years. Upon returning to Houma 
in 1964 she and her husband opened and operated Strada Shoe Shop until 1976. 
She also sold Real Estate for several years.

She was a parishioner, member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Legion of 
Mary at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.

She was a devout Catholic, wife and mother.

The family would like to thank Dr. Russell Henry, the staff on four south at 
TGMC, the staff at Chateau Terrebonne Nursing Home and Haydel Memorial Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Vincent De Paul 
Society or the Food Bank of Houma.
