Terrebonne, 81, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, was called home to Christ at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013. A private Christian burial will be held Saturday in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Golden Meadow. She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Terrebonne and wife, Thelma; sisters-in- law, Alice and Lena Terrebonne; nephew, John Cuneo, who she lived with from many years until her passing and who was her main caregiver; niece, Sharon Cuneo Pedeaux, who was also her caregiver; seven nieces; six nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominique and Melina Lafont Terrebonne; sisters, Melanese Louviere, Cecelia Cheramie, Beatrice Cuneo, Elizabeth Galjour and Peggy Theriot; brothers, Claydomire and Paul Terrebonne; brothers-in-law, Charlie Louviere Sr., Dominic Galjour, Randolph Cheramie, Hanson Cuneo and Nacis Theriot; nieces, Rachel Cheramie Gosnel and Paula Galjour Broussard; nephew, Charles Louviere Jr.; and great-niece, Elizabeth Broussard Basulito. Nancy worked for 35 years at Lafourche Telephone Company until her retirement. She was a caregiver for many family members. She was always helpful and compassionate to all her family and anyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with family members and taking pictures of them. She had a great love for movies and the arts. She also enjoyed reading, especially the Word of God. Nancy was a true Christian in every sense of the word. Her life was a testament of Christianity. She taught us many things and loved us in many ways that will live on in us forever. Nancy has truly been an angel sent by God to her whole family and friends.
