Russell Washington, 59, a native and resident of Raceland, died Thursday, Dec. 
5, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Word of 
Deliverance Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland. 

He is survived by his brothers, Albert (Verla) Washington Jr., Kennedy 
(Phyllis) Washington, John Washington, Bruce Washington and Samuel Washington; 
and sisters, Jeannie Coleman, Beverly (the Rev. Clyde) Thomas, Gladys Dorsey 
and Agnes (Morris) Charles. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr. and Rosie Washington; 
brothers, Melvin Washington Sr., Phillip Washington Sr. and Horace Washington 
Sr.; sister, Joan Rose Sylvester; stepsister, Patricia Folse; and grandparents, 
Clarence and Ada Miller, and James and Everline Washington. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
