Julia Marie Arceneaux, 63, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:15 a.m. 
Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, at Annunziata 
Catholic Church in Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

She is survived by her companion of 15 years, Judy Trahan; brothers, Mason 
Arceneaux and wife, Deloria, Lawrence Arceneaux Sr. and wife, Gennie, Allen 
Arceneaux and wife, Sue, and Ronnie Arceneaux and wife, Bonnie; sisters, Anita 
Portier and husband, Otis, Donna Porche and husband, Russell Sr., Jean Tabor, 
and Denise Sherrill and husband, Ray; five godchildren; and many nieces and 
nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Evest Arceneaux; mother, Olympe Gaudet 
Arceneaux; sister, Virginia Pontiff; and brother-in-law, Ernest Tabor.

She worked for Hill City Oil for 15 years. She enjoyed fishing, wood crafting 
and cooking.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dickie Haydel and Haydel Hospice for their 
services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to School Sisters of Notre 
Dame of Chatawa, Mississippi, or to the Louis Infant Center in Houma.
