Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Monday, January 20, 2014 from 8:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Trahan Babin, Houma, LA, sons, Christopher Babin and wife Cecile, Houma, LA, Keith Babin and wife Bessie, Thibodaux, LA, Karl Babin, Fort Myers, FL, Clark Babin, Houma, LA, Ken Babin, Houma, LA, Kevin Babin and wife Ada, Gray, LA, grandchildren, Cherie Guidry and husband Troy, Miranda Melancon, Heather Babin and fiance Brad Beniot, Carissa Plaisance and husband Matt, Robert Dupre, Kyla Babin, Jacob Babin, Dylan Babin, Kelsey Babin, Anna Babin, Edward Babin, Benjamin Babin, William Babin, step grandchild, Daniel Daigle, great grandchild, Kia Melancon, and one great grandchild on the way, brothers, Stanley Babin and wife Nancy, Reubin Babin and companion Iris Pitre and Ronald Babin and wife Sonja. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Anthony Babin and Odilia Cadiere Babin, son, Philip Andrew Babin, grandson, Devin Michael Babin, his Pomeranian dog, Yogi. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He retired from McDermott as a welder. He was a life member with thirty years of service to Lion's International. Spent most of his years with Evergreen Lion's Club and the last few years with La Bonne Terre Lion's Club. He served many positions and offices during his time with the club. He enjoyed spending his time with family and grandchildren. ======================
