William David Baytop, 65, a native of New Orleans and resident of Morgan City, 
died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Chapel AME Church in 
Patterson. 

He is survived by his daughters, Wiesha and Adrian Baytop, of Patterson; 
brothers, Jacob Baytop Jr., of Patterson, and Percy Baytop Sr., of New Iberia; 
and five grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Melvina Howard and 
Bula Pickett Westley. 

He was a U.S. Army veteran who was awarded various medals including the Purple 
Heart. 

Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
