Duane P. Bernard, 53, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Chackbay, 
died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the 
church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Dawn L. Bernard; parents, Octave Bernard and Leah 
G. Bernard; son, Andrew Bergeron; daughters, Zoe Clause, Cloe Clause, and 
Angelina Pellegrin; brothers, Todd Bernard and Jace Bernard and wife, Kristi; 
and sister, Melanie Bernard LeBlanc and husband, Dennis J. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Octave Bernard Sr. 
and Mr. and Mrs. Wiltz Grabert. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
