Ricky Joseph Boquet Sr., 53, a native and resident of Chauvin, died Tuesday, 
Jan. 7, 2014.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma 
and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church 

with burial in St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Boquet; son, Ricky Boquet Jr. and wife, 
Rochel Laurent; daughters, Summer Boquet and companion, Brent Steward, Tina 
Boquet, and Gina Boquet and companion, Gabe Verdin; granddaughter, Jasmin 
Boquet; brothers, Lawrence Boquet Jr. and wife, Sandra, Victor Boquet and wife, 
Edna, David Boquet and wife, Nancy, and Oris Boquet; sisters, Gail B. Dubois 
and husband, Steve, and Brenda B. Cortez and husband, Daniel; and mother -in-
law, Nellie Smith Guise.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Justillia Pellegrin 
Boquet; infant sister, Gaye Boquet; and father-in-law, Nolan J. Guise.
