Ella Mae "Mamie" Gros Borne, 90, a native of Labadieville, LA and a resident of 
Thibodaux, LA, died on Thursday, January 9, 2014. 
She was born May 18, 1923.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux, LA from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial 
will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church 

with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by children, Diane Borne Thibodaux and husband Nolan, Kenneth 
Borne and wife Audrey, Linda Borne Ardoin and husband Bobby; 9 grandchildren; 
14 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-great 
grandchildren; beloved friend, Laurel Feucht; sisters, Mary Ann Bergeron, 
Geraldine Talbot.

She is preceded in death by husband, Norman Borne; son, Gerald Borne; great-
grandson, Kayden Ardoin; parents, Camille Joseph Gros and Josephine Justilia 
Barrios Gros; brothers, Norris, Lawrence, Irvin, Wilbert, Harold and Collins 
Gros; sisters, Lucille Callahan, Alma Ordoyne, Gertrude Lagrange, Hazel 
Rousseau, Laura Mae Gros.

The family wishes to thank St. Catherine's Hospice, Thibodaux Healthcare, Molly 
and Lois, and Dr. Boudreaux and his staff.
