She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 9:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Roy Carlos, Houma, LA, son, Kirk Carlos and wife Patti Blanchard Carlos, Katy, TX, grandchildren, Heather Christen Lair, Baton Rouge, LA, Glenn Michael Mediamolle, Covington, LA, Christie Carlos, New Orleans, LA, six great grandchildren, sister, Dale Melancon Norred, Houma, LA,and godchild, Holly Norred Champagne, Houma, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah Allen Melancon and Doris Marie Melancon, and daughter, Marsha Carlos Mediamolle. She was the New Orleans Bowling League Secretary for over fifteen years. She was an avid bowler and state bowling champion in 1962, 1964 and 1972. She was a past member for the Krewe of Hyacinthians. She was a Maid in the first tableau for the Krewe of Houmas. She received a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Army Recruiting Command for her dedication and service to the mission of the United States Army Recruiting Team.
