Jacqueline Marie Chauvin, 64, was born on October 31, 1949 and passed away on 
January 8, 2014. 
She is a native of Napoleonville and resident of Youngsville, LA who passed 
away after a 3 month long battle with West Nile Virus. 
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was known as “Ganny” to her 17 
grandchildren. She doted on them at every opportunity, especially her beloved 
Sophia Sully Francis Cox. She prided herself on her keen sensibility for safety 
and nature’s remedies. She loved to cook. She always said she didn’t know how 
to make a small meal and would share with anyone who needed.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 
funeral time at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville. A Mass of Christian 
burial will take place at 11:00 AM 

with burial to follow in St. Anne Catholic Church cemetery in Napoleonville.

She is survived by her ex-husband and friend, Wayne Cox, Sr. and 5 children: 
Brandon Cox, Sr. and wife Stephanie; Wayne “Dubbie” Cox Jr. and wife Yelena; 
Alma Cox Enriquez and husband Carlos; Munsye Rita Cox; and Jacqueline Cox 
Eschete and husband Dax; sister, Jan Chauvin De Diaz; one niece, Alana Diaz, 
and one nephew, Ernesto Munson Diaz.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Munson and Rita Politz 
Chauvin.

Beautiful body and beautiful soul, she will be deeply missed by her family as 
we wait to be reunited with our sweet, sweet mama in heaven.
