James Paul Daigle Sr., 66, a native of Dulac and resident of Houma, died Sunday, 
Jan. 5, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 
a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Vision Christian Center in Bourg. Funeral 
services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 

with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Dianne; sons, James P. Daigle Jr. and wife, Mollie, 
of Houma, and Jeff Daigle and wife, Shanna, of Marietta, Ga.; brothers, Johnny 
Barrios and wife, Gayle, Rudy Ledet and wife, Marian, Terry DeHart and wife, 
Diana, Dave DeHart, and Curtis DeHart; sister, Nolia Carrere and husband, Lynn; 
grandchildren, Alyssa Daigle, Shelbi Daigle, Joshua Daigle, Jackson Daigle, 
Justin Daigle, and Matthew LaJaunie; and two great-grandchildren. 

As a man who never met a stranger, he will be dearly missed by literally 
thousands of friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American 
Cancer Society, Mid-South Division, Inc., Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge, 2605 
River Road, New Orleans, LA 

Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
