He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Friday, January 17, 2014 from 9:30 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Chauvin. He is survived by his, wife, Joyce DeHart, Houma, LA, son, Sullivan DeHart and companion Dudlene Armond, daughter, Dottie DeHart Wakeland and husband Richard, step sons, Danny LeBlanc, Brian LeBlanc, Randy LeBlanc and wife Pat, Kevin LeBlanc and wife Donna, Craig LeBlanc and companion Shelly Chauvin, fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, brother, Magnus DeHart, sisters, Mrs. Huey (Doris) Authement, Mrs. Patrick (Barbara) Carlos. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Davis “Dave” DeHart and Lillian Luke DeHart, son, Roger DeHart two grandchildren, brothers, Douglas DeHart, Jervais DeHart, Earl DeHart and Aubrey DeHart. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was Seismic Shooter for Shell Oil Company for 30 years. After his retirement he went on to work for the parish as a bridge tender for ten years. He enjoyed fishing, trawling and woodworking making boats. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. ======================
