Reuben "PaPaw" Peter Gautreaux Sr., 75, a native and resident of Houma, died 
Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home 
in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, 

with burial in Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Reuben Gautreaux Jr. and wife, Paulette, and 
Anthony "Tony" Gautreaux and wife, Maria; brothers, Roland, Camille, Hayes, and 
Golden Gautreaux Jr.; sister, Francis; grandchildren, Candace Musso, Derreck 
Gautreaux, Nikolas Gautreaux, Ashley Gautreaux, and Joshua Gautreaux; and 
great-grandchildren, Carsyn Douglas, Matson Musso, Peyton Cunningham, Bryson 
Fazzio, Nathan Gautreaux, Stella Musso, Jesse Gautreaux, Caleb Gautreaux, and 
Colton Fazzio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Golden Gautreaux Sr. and Rosedel 
Gautreaux; and brothers, Robert, Murphy, Michael, Howard, and Simon "Pewee" 
Gautreaux.

Reuben was a hard worker, a music man, and a United States Veteran in the 
United States Navy.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
