Dartsy "Sadie" Payne Jeff, 86, a native of Houma and resident of New Orleans, 
died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Residence Baptist 
Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Union Benevolent Cemetery. 

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Coleman and Eloise Scott; sister, 
Albertha P. Robinson; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jeff; parents, Richard and 
Dartsy Stovall Payne; son, Willie Earl Jeff; brothers, Nathanel, Norman and the 
Rev. Richard Payne Jr.; and sisters, Eve and Elmira Payne, Viola Flemings, Ora 
Shelton, Agnes Knightshed, and Catherine Blackwell Randolph. 

Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
