Brenda Harvey Madeira, of Duluth, Ga., died peacefully while surrounded by her 
loved ones Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014. 
She was born to the late Reata and Lavell Harvey, of Raceland, Feb. 15, 1947. 

A celebration of her life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at The Bridge Church, 2105 
Newpoint Place, Suite 100, Lawrenceville, Ga. 

She is survived by her children, Amy Groen and Jay Madeira; grandchildren, 
Ansley, Carter, and Sara Beth Groen, and Jaylen Madeira; and brothers, Guy and 
Donald Harvey. 

Brenda was a dedicated teacher for 34 years, until her retirement in 2005. She 
was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students. She was 
an active member of The Bridge Church. She loved God, traveling and spending 
time with her family and friends. She especially loved being with her 
grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to the 
Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation
