He was a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 8:00 AM until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM with burial following at Sacred Heart Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Anita Ellender Marie, Montegut, LA son, Richard Marie and companion Beth Smith, daughter, Brandi Marie Tanner and husband Kevin Tanner, grandchildren, Mallory Tanner and Taylor Tanner, father, Robert Marie and wife Sherrlyn Marie, mother, Jane Martin Peak and husband Samuel Wade Peak, sister, Wendy Marie and companion Richard Folse, step brother, Larry Authement. He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Marie, grandparents, Percy and Velma Marie and Israel and Leve Martin. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Just out of high school in 1975, Ricky has been the heart and soul of Marie's Auto Parts and Marie's Wrecker Service in Houma. Many thanks go out to his loyal customers that have remained dedicated throughout the years. Ricky has been very instrumental in the towing industry in the surrounding area since the 70's. He lived each day to the fullest. He loved his family, his dear friends, his employees and most of all his trips to the camp. Ricky was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
