Vivian Mayer, 94, a native of Lockport and resident of Houma, died Thursday, 
Jan. 9, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Greater New 
Fountain Baptist Church in Lockport. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Greater New Fountain Baptist Church cemetery in Lockport. 

She is survived by her son, Bruce (Rachel) Mayer Sr.; brothers, Elton 
(Geraldine) Guidroz and Jack Guidroz; sisters, Jacqueline (Willie) Staples and 
Betty (Wilbert) Jenkins; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three 
great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilary Mayer Jr.; parents, Lawless 
Guidroz and Odile T. Guidroz; son, Carl V. Mayer; daughters, Mary Ann Marts and 
Margarette Tripplett; brothers, Wallace Guidroz and Lawless Guidroz Jr.; and 
sisters, Geneva Boudreaux, Lucille Wheeler and Marie Guidroz. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
