Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1401.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Raymond Robert Naquin, 97 years old, a native of Donaldsonville and longtime resident of Houma, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He is survived by his daughters, Dianne Brien and husband, Russel, of Houma, Jennifer "Jenny" Daigle and husband, Evans "Sonny", of Baton Rouge, and Gwen Chiasson and husband, Kerry, of Thibodaux; eight grandchildren, Eric Theriot, Jill Theriot, Dean Theriot, Julie Daigle Gautreaux, Chris Daigle, Sandi Daigle Lirette, Kayla Knight, and Brian Knight; 10 great-grandchildren, Jamie Theriot, Leah Theriot, Hannah Theriot, Erica Theriot, Jake Holden, Jace Theriot, Alex Theriot, Carlie Theriot, Taylor Gautreaux, and Jenna LeBoeuf; one great-great- grandchild, Jaden Theriot; one sister-in-law, Belle Arcement; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Virgie Navarre Naquin; parents, Villier and Bessie Hebert Naquin; brothers, Edmond and Daniel Naquin; sisters, Rosa Guedry, Bessie Alonzo, Alice Rome, and Marjorie Naquin; and grandson, Mark Theriot. Raymond and his wife, Virgie, owned and operated The Houma Drapery Center. They were well known for their kindness and generosity throughout their 25 years in business. Raymond was a veteran of World War II at which time he served as a medic. He was a parishioner and usher of St. Gregory Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. All who knew and loved him will miss him. The family would like to thank the staff and employees of The Suites of Sugar Mill Point, The Homestead Assisted Living and Haydel Hospice for all the loving care and assistance shown to him. The family would also like to thank Beverly Alvis, Jose Bergeron, and Christy Griffin, his devoted caregivers. ======================
