Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1401.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Raymond "Ray" Charles Neigel Jr., 65, a native of New Orleans and resident of Schriever, died at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 422 Valhi Blvd., Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Dernise Marie Clement; former wife, Sandy Wright Ostheimer; sons, Matthew and Nathaniel and wife, Celeste Neigel; stepson, Bryan Bougard and wife, Yong Cha; sister, Theresa Naffe, of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, Jonas, James and Julianne Neigel; step-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Dustin, Kariya, and GiaKiana Bougard; and step-great-grandchildren, Laila and Tristan Bougard. He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Lee Neigel; sister, Bridget Neigel; and parents, Raymond C. Sr. and Audrey Deerey Neigel. Ray was an avid Saints and Tulane fan. He attended UNO and Banking School of the South. He was a charter member for 30 years of the Hercules Carnival Club, was associated with the finance industry for numerous years, and was proprietor of Finance One of Houma. He was a former Vestry member and Senior Warden for St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a trusted friend to everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Ronald McDonald House and Children's Hospital.
