Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1401.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Leonard Joseph Pollet, 63, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Schriever, LA, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 peacefully in his sleep at his home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church followed by burial in St. Bridget Catholic Church cemetery in Schriever. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon Stevens Pollet; daughters, Rachel Pollet Bonnette, Tanya Pollet Martin and husband Jeremy; grandchildren, Maggie Martin, Max Martin, Owen Bonnette; sisters, Karen Pollet Olivier and husband Eric, Delsie Pollet Stevens and husband Louis; brothers, Oscar Pollet Jr. and wife Janice, Dale Pollet and wife Toni; godchildren, Troy Olivier, Tiffany Pollet Kent, Lindsey Reid, Macyn Leger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Hilda Schexnaydre Pollet; son-in-law, Mitchell Bonnette; in-laws, Scuddy and Blackie Adams Stevens. Leonard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend who will be missed by all. He was a self-employed carpenter for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Edward Haight, Dr. James Ellis, Family Doctor Clinic, Dr. Paul Monier, the staffs of TRMC (Second Floor), ACU and Home Health, The Blood Center of South LA, St. Joseph Hospice, and friends for the special care given to Leonard during his illness.
