Hosey Shelby Jr., 50, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, died 
Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral timeFriday at Third Zion Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland. 

He is survived by his father, Hosey Shelby Sr.; brothers, Craig Stratton, Tonia 
(Kendra) Shelby Sr., Noland Shelby, and Joseph Shelby; and sisters, Beatrice 
(Alton) Williams and Evelina Shelby. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Shelby; and brothers, Joseph 
Stratton, Gilbert Stratton and Eugene Shelby. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
