Garyn “Lil G” James Strong, 15, a native and resident of Galliano who passed 
away on January 18, 2014.

Visitation will take place at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off on Friday, 
January 24th from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 25th from 9 a.m. till 
funeral time at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. Funeral mass will take 
place at 11 a.m. with 

burial following at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

Garyn is survived by parents, Thad Russel Strong and Maureen Boudreaux Strong; 
sister, Stephanie Lynne Morgan and husband Wesley; brothers, Thad Strong, II 
and wife Laura and John Leslie Strong; his paternal grandparents, Joyce and 
Lloyd Learman; Godparents, Toby Martin, Sr. and Lola Richard and many aunts, 
uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rogers and Janice 
Boudreaux, paternal grandfather, Merton Strong and brother Quenten Strong.

Garyn enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing video games and hanging around with 
his cousins and friends. He loved sports and played tennis for South Lafourche 
in his 9th grade year. He was also a 4-H member during the 9th grade. He raised 
chickens and rabbits for the fairs and raised rabbits for 4 years as a small 
business. 
He was also a Catholic and organ donor.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers in this 
difficult time.
