Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at the church followed by burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. He is survived by wife, Shirley Rodrigue Thibodaux; children, Walter "Butch" Thibodaux, Jr. and wife Bridget Legendre Thibodaux, Ronnie "Potat" Thibodaux and wife Donna Vicknair Thibodaux, Penny Thibodaux Hotard; grandson, Derek P. Thibodaux and wife Nicole Himel Thibodaux; great-grandson, Kooper P. Thibodaux; sisters, Heloise Dubois and husband Nolan, Barbara Breaux and husband Gerald, Sr., Gail Legendre and husband Raymond. He is preceded in death by parents, Levi Thibodaux and Lillian Zeringue Thibodaux; brothers, Lloyd Thibodaux, Levy Thibodaux; sisters, Joyce Marcel, Shirley Theriot, Lucille Chaisson. He was the founder and owner of Thibodaux Wrecker Service. He was also a member of the Chackbay Fire & Rescue for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, dancing as well as being a drag racing enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Arrangements entrusted to Thibodaux Funeral Home. ========================
