He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM until Service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 12:30 PM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Wife, Elizabeth C. Verrette, Mother, Ediana Billiot Verrette, Sons, Devin Paul Verrette, Step Daughter, Sarah Katherine Naquin and fiance' Paul Watson, Grandchildren, Danielle Elyse Watson and Ava Grace Watson, Father in law and mother in law, AJ and June Collins, Brother in law, Tony Collins and wife Denise, Niece and Nephew, Chloe Collins and Brett Collins. He was preceded in death by his, Father, Usie Paul Verrette, Brother, Lionel Verrette, He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Durrelle was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandchildren. But his true passion was the love of bass fishing. He fished 13 Bassmaster events, several opens and weekend series tournaments. He also fished 24 FLW different tournament organization events. He passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife and his two pups by his side Skeeter and Bailey after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife wishes to thank everyone who cared for Durrelle during his illness including St. Catherine's Hospice, Amedisys Home Health, MD Anderson and Mary Bird Perkins. A special thank you to his friends and our family who were there to help out when we needed them. ======================
