Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1402.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Patrick Gene Behling Sr., a native of Longview, Wash., and resident of Napoleonville for the past 23 years, passed away at home Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. A memorial service will be from 2 p.m. until funeral time Sunday at Palazzo Bernado Hall at 2244 Highway 3120 in Donaldsonville at the foot of the Sunshine Bridge. Military Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the hall, with funeral services at 5 p.m. Sunday at the hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Brenda Tew Behling; children, Patrick G. Behling Jr. (Tara), Kristine Lacoste (Dennis), and Tammy Castelluccio; brother, Mike Behling (Johnnie); sisters, Kathy Brower and Nancy Long (George); and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his faithful companion "Turbo," who went everywhere with him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lillian Krumrie Behling; and his oldest grandson, Jeremy Lacoste. Patrick served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1981, including three tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He also served in the Special Forces (Seal Team I). Before retiring from the U.S. Navy, Patrick was on loan to the Queen's Navy in London for two years. After retiring from the Navy, Patrick went to work for J. Ray McDermott in Amelia, as a Diving Supervisor. He was recently contracted to Exxon-Mobile, working for them worldwide. He was an avid Saints fan who enjoyed drag racing and restoring his '53 Chevy. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, both in his personal and professional life. Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements. U.S. Navy ======================
