Gauthreaux, 87, was born on August 13, 1926 and passed away on February 14, 2014. She was a native of Labadieville, LA and resident of Thibodaux, LA. A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA from 8:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial which will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA following the Mass of Christian Burial. She is survived by her children, Betty Babin and husband Walter, Earline Hebert, Howard Gauthreaux and wife Cecile, Gayle Gauthreaux, Susan Daigle and husband Ivy, Kenneth Gauthreaux and wife Maria Elena, and Karen Dufrene and husband Kendall; two brothers, Murphy and Irvin Naquin; 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew E. Gauthreaux; son, Gary J. Gauthreaux; parents, Joseph Naquin and Ora Chiasson Naquin; brother, Cedric Naquin; sister, Shirley Naquin; son-in-law, Hubert Hebert Jr.; and great grandchild, Tyler Hebert, son of Trudy and Ricky Hebert. Elsie was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5097 and a devoted parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as a Christian example to those she met. A special thanks to all those who took such great care of our mother especially the staff of Audubon Health and Rehab, Dr. Chester Boudreaux and staff, the staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and the staff of St. Catherine's Hospice ======================
